      Yes Harry. I absolutely do. I think we should remove the emphasis on testing. As I wrote in the opening paragraph of my most recent book:

      “education should authentically care for children and young people; striving to nurture, value, and celebrate them for who they are, looking beyond their academic preparation and potential to pass tests and focusing upon their social, emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual needs as children and individuals.”

      I think we’ve built a system that sees the whole “point” of teaching and learning as being about test results – and I think that’s a terrible shame because learning and teaching can be so much more than that!
