Hi 🙂 Good question! I’m not sure if there has been much research on this, but I think it’s possible. Although attachment probably wouldn’t affect organisational skills directly, it could lead to an individual feeling insecure or uncertain, and this in turn could affect their ability to organise. So in this way, attachment type can influence personality traits which in turn will have a knock on effect for organisational skills.

There is an attachment style known as ‘disorganised’ – however this refers to a set of attachment behaviours and doesn’t actually have anything to do with organisation skills (the name is a bit deceiving!) As Kirsty says, attachment styles tend to be characterised by certain behaviours, and these, in turn, might relate to organisation skills. However, there are many other factors that likely relate to organisation skills, such as personality traits like conscientiousness, and social factors, like being taught organisational techniques.
